Sandra Walden Pearson is an accomplished thought leader who possesses the skills that enable individuals and organisations to achieve transformational personal growth and business success. She thrives on challenge and is committed to lifelong learning – on the understanding that each of us is both learner and teacher.
Sandra held on to her dream to become an English teacher despite leaving school aged 14 years. At 30 years of age she began her professional life as an English teacher and taught in high school, TAFE and Mulawa Maximum Security Women’s prison before leaving institutionalised learning environments to work in the social profit sector.
After specialising in Management, Education and Community Development at Burnside, Sandra joined The Smith Family in 2002 as Community Programs Manager for Sydney Metropolitan region and was promoted to National Learning and Development Manager during the time of organisational transformation.
Sandra’s long term exposure to and observations of the impact of financial literacy on social wellbeing and marginalisation have resulted in her most recent decision to become a Director of dollars at work™ - an business dedicated to aligning the best possible mortgage and related products with each client’s specific situation while providing education of the process.
Sandra delights in sharing her wealth of skills, knowledge and experience in leadership; capability and organisational development; and human resources to the myriad people with whom she works and businesses to which she consults.
As a much sought after speaker, Sandra has been chosen to present at LearnX, the E-Learning and Training Solutions International Conference and Expo (9-10 June 2010), among a number of speaking engagements throughout the coming year.
Sandra is married with one daughter. She lives in the heart of Sydney, Australia, and enjoys yoga, sailing and writing.
