Gabrielle Molan
B.App.Sci, Grad.Dip.Ergonomics
Ergonomics Consultant, Physiotherapist, Pilates Instructor & Massage Therapist
Gabrielle, the ‘Florence Nightingale’ of our team, has 25 years experience as a health professional, in nursing, physiotherapy and massage. After adding Pilates Instruction to her list of credentials, Gabrielle is arguably the most versatile of the Project Balance team.
To enhance her nursing skills, Gabrielle completed her Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) at La Trobe University, then went on to work in a range of hospital settings before moving to rehabilitation and Private Practice as a physiotherapist. Having repeatedly treated a range of work related injuries, Gabrielle choose to complete a Graduate Diploma in Ergonomics at La Trobe University to help prevent the injuries occurring in the first place. Gabrielle now utilises a multi-faceted approach to educate, treat and prevent a range of injuries.
Gabrielle has worked within a range of sectors including: municipal councils, Centrelink and a range of small to medium businesses. The scope of her work has included: educating home help staff on preventing/managing back injuries; setting up work stations in professional offices to prevent injuries; raising disability awareness to town planners; providing healthy lifestyle information to a range of workers - with all work performed to match the unique requirements of the organisation.
In addition to her paid work, Gabrielle is a generous contributor to volunteer community projects. She has been an active trainer/masseuse for a local football club, she works with several pro-bono clients from marginalised communities and she was also a member of the team of physiotherapists at the Sydney Olympics.
