Sandy Ayton-Delaney

BEd
Team Building – Creativity Facilitator

Sandy brings to the team a wealth of experience in teaching, design and creativity. Having started her career as a high school art teacher, she took her love for creation into the fashion industry, spending seven years in the cutting rooms of fashion houses such as Marianna Hardwick, Ojay and Country Road. Following this, her experience in the classroom was knitted with her love of textile design as a Lecturer at the TAFE Melbourne School of Fashion, teaching Certificate IV Fashion Design and Illustration.

During her son’s early development years, Sandy indulged her love of people and design by working in various retail jobs, which included elite furniture stores and fashion outlets. Earlier in her career she also worked as an Art and Craft Consultant (State Supply), sourcing arts and craft supplies for schools (primary and secondary, public and private), kindergartens and childcare centres. This involved organising and delivering creative and practical workshops for teachers and staff.

Sandy now combines her interest in people with her love of art and creativity through studying a Graduate Dipolma in Creative Arts Therapy at the Melbourne Institute of Experiential Creative Arts Therapy. We are lucky enough that Sandy makes time to also work with us at team building events that require facilitation of the creative kind. Her teaching background, coupled with her love of all things creative, make her perfectly suited to running exercises that encourage participants to tap into the creative side. Added to this, her vivacious personality and love of people, mean that our clients are assured their team will walk away with big smiles (and maybe a little paint) on their faces!
